Stocks
The purpose of this project was to see how the stock market reacted to a pandemic. The main things I analyze were volume and the change in the price of a stock. When people get scared for their investments they tend to sell their positions and this creates a lot of volatility in the market causing big price movements. I looked at Apple stock, at S&P 500 Index, and the price of oil. From the graph on the left, you can see how much the price moves in a small amount of time. Other people "Day Traders" like to take advantage of these price movements thus causing more volatility in the market.
